Starting out as a young chef, Nigel soon realised there was a gap in the market. That was by providing the freshest of fish straight to the chef from the harbour with no middle men. 40 years on, he is still doing just that to the highest standard.
Starting up a small fish business in 1976, Ian Perkes Ltd is now the largest company based in Brixham exporting fish daily around Europe. Looking to explore other avenues Ian decided to help start Brixham Seafish Ltd with Nigel and Josh and is still on the fish market daily, selecting only the best for our clientele.
Josh is the 5th generation in his family to be involved within all aspects of the fishing industry. His love of fish started when at 4 years old he caught his first mackerel and has subsequently been working with fish ever since. Josh is on the market every morning picking out only the very best of the dayboat fish with his customers in mind. He is then straight back to the shop floor making sure everything going out is perfect.
